Laptop Instructions
Internet access is available in many Digital Classrooms. If you experience any technical problems or the Internet connection, please call DCS at 848-445-3612 or e-mail equipment@echo.rutgers.edu.
Before you turn on your laptop or power up the podium:
If you find that you need to reboot the laptop after changing the TCP/IP Settings, make sure you follow the proper power up order above.

Before you turn on your laptop or power up the podium:
- Plug the provided PC/Video cable into the video output (VGA) of your laptop. This may be labeled "external monitor" on some laptops. Macintosh and some newer PCs with digital video will require an adaptor (supplied with the computer).
- Press "Laptop PC" on the podium touch screen
- Connect your ethernet cable to the "Data" jack on the podium and the ethernet jack on your computer. You must bring your own ethernet cable, there are none in the podiums.
- Turn on the laptop
- Continue with the instructions in the links below. These will open in a new browser window for easier printing.
