ECS has removed the television monitors from the following rooms: Hardenberg A1, A5, A6, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6; Frelinghuysen A1, A2, A3, A4; and ARC 108, 110. These rooms were recently upgraded with data projectors and are capable of laptop and video projection. In Hardenberg and Frelinghuysen, the DVD/VHS machines that were previously attached the monitor carts have been relocated to the wheeled overhead transparency carts. Instructors may use the DVD/VHS machines by connecting them to the SP Pixie Systems. Instructions are posted on the wall next to the systems and on the carts. The ARC 108 and 110 systems have built-in computers capable of playing a DVD. Instructors in these rooms may request delivery of a VCR by filling out an Equipment Request on the ECS web page.

Enhanced Classroom Support will be conducting group orientation sessions for our faculty before and during the first weeks of classes. This is an opportunity to meet with our technicians, and to learn about the operation and capabilities of the equipment available in these classrooms and lecture halls. Click here to learn more.

The RUWireless Secure network has changed as of March 16th, 2011.

ALL RUWireless_Secure users must reconfigure their devices in order to connect to RUWireless Secure. For most, this is as simple as connecting to RUWireless, returning to the RUWireless login page and clicking "Configure Me for RUWireless Secure". If you are not automatically redirected to the configuration wizard, point your browser to:

https://services.rutgers.edu/ruwireless/cloud.php (Note: You must be connected to RUWireless first)

XpressConnect will run again and repair the configuration automatically. RUWireless Secure is not available for guest users at this time.

Winter Session Classroom Upgrades

Enhanced Classroom Support has designed and installed new streamlined audio visual system in 21 classrooms. These “orange” level classrooms consist of a permanently mounted data projector and speakers and have a push wall plate where one can hook up one’s laptop, iPad or MPEG player. The systems have VGA, RCA video and audio jacks, and HDMI connections. To operate – just press the power button, hook up you device, select the input and you are ready to present. VGA cables are provided; you will need to bring any adapter required for your device.
