Enhanced Touchscreen Operation System
The ETOS audiovisual control system is found in our large and medium-sized lecture halls on the New Brunswick campus (scarlet & blue level) classrooms. This set of instructions exemplifies the systems found in our larger lecture halls. The smaller classrooms have different screen images, but are fundamentally the same.
Scarlet Lecture Hall
To activate the system, press the touch screen.
The first touch will display a logo screen; the second touch will activate the system and display the main screen.
A system warming up message will appear, indicating the time before the system will turn on.
The system will remain active on for 3 hours. If at anytime you would like to extend the time, press the "reset timer" button.
Press the button for the media device you would like to use (for this example, DVD player).
If you would like to hook up your laptop, press the LAPTOP button. You can select various items at any time, by pressing the corresponding button.
A screen specific to the functions of that media device will display. Use the control buttons on the touchscreen to control operation of the device.
Use the arrow buttons to increase or decrease volume levels: "Program" is for any equipment volume. "Voice" is for your microphone level.
To raise or lower the screen, press the screen button "Turn Off."
To shut down the system, press the "Turn Off" button, on the lower right side of the touchscreen.
Please remember to remove your media and any laptop peripheral equipment.
Student technicians are available on each campus to assist with any problems you are encountering. Please let us know if you would like us to send over a technician.
