AB Lecture Hall
The brand-new Rutgers Academic Building, a new centerpiece of the College Avenue campus, has opened its doors. In addition to a new OIT Computer Lab and Learning Center, AB is home to 17 new general-purpose classrooms designed to accommodate a variety of classes.  Eight seminar rooms offer intimate space for classes of twenty-five students or fewer. Rutgers Academic Building Sketch
The new Rutgers Academic Building is now open on the College Avenue Campus. Featuring 17 new general purpose classrooms, including two active learning rooms and an interactive lecture hall, the building will be a key part of the student academic experience for years to come. The building, which is located at 15 Seminary Place, also features complements of both large lecture halls and smaller seminar rooms. With ample seating outside of the instructional spaces and on the courtyard between the second floors of the East and West wings, students have already made it a hot spot for relaxing and studying between classes. On September 13th from 9am to 12pm, we invite you to stop by Tillett Hall 204 to see Rutgers-New Brunswick's first general-purpose active learning classroom. Whether you are a faculty member interested in teaching in an ALC or just want to learn more about how new collaborative spaces can positively impact learning, stop by for a cup of coffee, take a tour of the room, and get more information about active learning at Rutgers. Tillett Hall Room 204
We are very excited to announce the opening of Tillett 204, Rutgers-New Brunswick's first general-purpose active learning classroom. This new space is designed to facilitate dynamic and engaged learning through clustered seating, student work space, a layout that encourages interaction, and much more.  Students taking classes in Tillett 204 sit in moveable chairs - complete with bag and water bottle storage - around circular tables. The Higher Education Facilities Management Association held its 2016 Summer Conference at Rutgers University-New Brunswick from June 26 to 29, featuring presentations, discussions, and  building tours. HEFMA is comprised mainly of the member schools of the Big Ten Academic Alliance, formerly the Committee on Institutional Cooperation, along with Iowa State University and Notre Dame.(Click on the photo to activate the photo gallery.)
