Students Give A Sole

The scholars in The School of Arts and Science Educational Oppportunity Fund Program Study Skills course were charged with coming up with a community service project that would benefit and serve the  local community. The Give A Sole Project was the community service project they came up with to help locals in need of shoes. They reached out to Elijah's Promise, an organization in New Brunswick whose mission is break the cycle of proverty. Students placed shoe collection boxes at  both SAS EOF Campus locations and the donations started pouring in. Within a week the class was able to collect  5 trash bags full of shoes. Students took time out of their busy academic schedules to drop off the shoes to Elijah's Promise themselves. We couldn't be prouder of our SAS EOF Scholars! If you would like to donate to Elijah's Promise as well feel free to contact them at elijahspromise.org or by reaching them via phone at  732-545-9002.
